The driver can get off the road in any vehicle and can ram into a tree or stone along the way, making the screen go berserk with a ‘great wreckage’ sign. However, players get rewarded for these types of frenzies too.

On the whole, the versatility of the gameplay is a breath of fresh air. If a player wants to become a grease monkey and fine-tune the cars for optimal performance on the track, Forza 4 should be able to quench their thirst to some extent.

Forza Hoizon 4 has a scintillating game play experience with new and old vehicles. The player is rewarded throughout the experience. While the racing offers pretty much wind in the hairs kind of experience, it never drifts away from reality, unlike other driving games. It offers a perfect blend of reality and arcade.

Forza has always been at a pivotal role in this regard, and Horizon 4 has raised the bar to a whole new level.

Presentation

Both visual and aural details matter. Once again, the soundtrack of this Forza edition will satisfy auto enthusiasts. The player will receive plenty of performance feedback from the combination of noise and vibration as cars roar, tyres crunch on gravel, and crashes make them grimace. For added realism, the radio presenter will interrupt songs to provide background information about the planet and the player’s current status.

And when players cross the finish line, the radio tunes down so they can hear the music from the festival’s speakers. The game, like its predecessor, features many radio stations playing a wide variety of appropriate music that never detracts from the experience.

As a player travels the over 530 exportable pathways, the environment itself isn’t exactly teeming with life. That’s not to say it doesn’t have visual appeal; it does. However, gamers won’t find any pedestrians or abundant animals, and the few automobiles they do see won’t look nearly as good as their own.

Not a huge deal, but games like Burnout Paradise rendered this a nonissue by burying the player with optional content like stunts, secret routes, and more.

Also, once people start buying the game and there are more than 70 people in a lobby, many of these minor complaints will go away.

For those who are worried, rest assured: there will be no online complaining because everyone will be in ghost mode and will simply pass through one another as they explore the shared world.
